Really, the focus on the most efficient and effective application of the LOA is the strength of this kit. It is designed to help you identify your goal, first. This is surprisingly difficult for many people. As a reader, I have so many clients saying “I know I can achieve anything…I am just not sure what I should focus on right now.” This deck recognizes that challenge and provides ways to overcome it. Then it shows you how to create a plan in order to be a true co-creator with the Universe in creating the future you desire. As for the deck itself, the Major Arcana cards are easily recognizable in terms of the RWS images. The Major cards are further classified as either introspective (or internal work) or active (or things that the querent should do). The Minor cards, though, are designed to flesh out the plans outlined by the Major cards and really not recognizable as RWS images. They do not follow any clear system that I could identify. However, when one reflects upon the images and the meanings given in the book, it is easy to see, in some cases, how the LOA Tarot Minor cards have their roots in the RWS foundation. But not always. With this deck, it is best to keep an open mind and focus on the task at hand, trusting the deck to give you what you need to know regardless of traditional Tarot meanings. For example, the 6 of Cups shows a grown man near an oversized hourglass (twice as tall as the man) and is said to represent the past. This is a different image from the RWS style decks but a similar meaning. The 5 of Cups, however, shows a field of sunflowers and is said to mean “happiness.” Neither of these will resonate with the traditional RWS meanings. One of the great strengths of this kit is the spread collection. It includes versions of the Celtic Cross and the Astrological House Spread…but both have been modified to suit LOA work and inquiries.
