If you are renovating or redecorating your living space, you can add intentional magical energy to your project. Before you begin to paint the walls in a room, use a pencil to write positive affirmations on the walls. Add words that describe the energy you want to bring to the space: love, dreams, success, joy, laughter, harmony, peace, etc. You can also draw symbols for protection, such as a pentacle (a five-pointed star inside of a circle). The point of each star on the pentacle represents one of the elements: earth, fire, water, air, and spirit. Once you have your writing in place, light some sage or incense. While you allow the smoke to swirl in the space, say:

As this transformational smoke cleanses my space, bring the energy of love, laughter, and peace to this place.

Use whatever words you have added on your walls in this chant to suit your own needs.
