National Houseplant Appreciation Day

Color of the day:  Pink
Incense of the day:  Mint

Today is National Houseplant Appreciation Day. Plants relate to the element of earth. Houseplants bring a little bit of nature indoors. There are many ways to observe this holiday. Talk to your houseplants. Prune overgrown plants and remove any dead leaves. Share snapshots of your plants online. For a winter mood booster, visit a greenhouse or other plant shop and spend time among luxurious plants. If you have room, buy yourself a new houseplant.

Now is also a good time to cast a spell for nurturing your plants. You'll need a green stone, such as aventurine or moss agate, big enough that it won’t get lost on your plant shelf. Hold the stone and say:
Stone of earth and jewel of green,
Make my plants the strongest seen.
Let them thrive and let them grow
Ever green despite the snow.

Place the stone among the pots on your plant shelf. It will help keep them healthy and green.
