Once in a Blue Moon

Color of the day:  Topaz
Incense of the day:  Honeysuckle

When we cleanse and charge our magickal tools, we often focus on the ones we use the most. But what about the other tools we use? For instance, maybe there’s a special kitchen knife you use in your spellwork, or perhaps you have a statue where you leave offerings. The rarity of a blue moon is a good time to think about those other tools and give them a jolt of lunar energy.

Start by thinking about some of the more nontraditional and overlooked tools you use in your spellwork. Gather those up and place them on a clean cloth either outside (if the weather is nice) or inside near a window with access to moonlight. As you lay out your items, speak over them with the intention that the moon will cleanse and charge them for your upcoming magical workings:

Fill this tool (or item) up with

lunar energy and the first stirrings

of autumn. So mote it be!

Leave your items in the light of the moon until morning.
