We live in the happy knowledge th at abundance is ours. There is enough and more of everything we truly need. Believing in it makes it so.
Unfortunately, there are people who are just as convinced of, and living in, lack. Believing in that also makes it so. It may be possible to nudge some of these folks from pessimism to optimism. But for those stuck in an eternal downward spiral, it might be best to leave them alone. Take yourself out of their sphere. Put in your earbuds and enjoy some soothing music. When those options are not viable, learn to drown out the buzz. Concentrate on all things good and happy. This isn’t always an easy skill to develop, but it will save you headaches, both literal and figurative. Call upon Tranquillitas, goddess of peace and tranquility. She will guide you to serenity in the face of discontent. Say:
