Feed the Birds and Welcome Spring!

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Mulberry

Tuppence charms date back to Victorian times and involve binding a coin with ribbon and seeds, then hanging it in a tree for the birds to nibble loose. This luck-casting utilizes the cycle of nature and the fertility of birds to imbue the charm with magick. Picking exotic coins is best. Later, a treasure hunt for these coins can be had, giving this spell an extra aura of luck and chance.

Gather the following:
* 1 cup honey
* 1 cup cooked rice
* 1/2 cup apple juice
* 3 cage-free eggs
* 1/2 cup meringue powder
* 12–16 ounces regional seed mix
* 12 coins bound up with green ribbon
* 12 silicon cupcake molds

Mix the first six ingredients together with your hands, then pack around each coin and ribbon. Press into a silicone cupcake mold. Leave a bit of ribbon dangling out for hanging later.

Dry them in the oven at 190 degrees F. for three hours. When set, hang the charms in the trees around your yard.
