Today is Save the Eagles Day. Although in recent years bald eagles have been increasing in number, other species are still threatened. Further, some legislators have threatened to remove the protected status of some species still in need of it.

Today, spend a few moments to connect with the spirit of the eagle. Take a comfortable seat, outside in the fresh air if possible, and center yourself. Close your eyes and enter a meditative trance state. Visualize that your arms have become feathered. Pay attention to how they feel in the air around you. Notice how your vision has changed. Note how your eagle vision is different from your ordinary human vision. How has your perspective on the world changed? Ask the spirit of the eagle what you can do to help it. After sitting with this experience for a few moments, slowly bring yourself back to ordinary reality and journal about your experience.
