A Thursday to Relax

Color of the day:  Crimson
Incense of the day:  Clove

In many places, November is gloomy and chilly. Today’s a good day to stay indoors and cozy up with your beloveds, both human and feline or canine. Read a good book to them.

Le Petit Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is supposed to be a children’s story. Le renard, the fox, asks the little prince to “tame” (make friends with) him. The fox gives the little prince (and us) an important life lesson when he says, On ne voit bien qu’avec le coeur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. [“It is only with our hearts that we can truly see. What is essential is invisible to the eyes.”]

Set figures or drawings of people and animals that have tamed you on your altar. See them with your heart. See the essence of each relationship and draw a picture of it or set a symbol of it on your altar. Do a ritual whose intention is gratitude.
