Fall Cleaning

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Hyssop

Unlike most people, I don’t do spring cleaning. Instead, I get the urge to clean and cleanse in the fall, before I am stuck in my house all winter. I try to get rid of accumulated clutter, clean and dust all surfaces, and rearrange my altar. This is a good time to clear away any accumulated emotional energy too, and give your home a good going-over with a sage smudge stick. As you clear and clean, say this:

"My home is clean and clear

Of dirt and dust, of old

troubles and sorrows,

Of anything that no longer

works for my benefit.

My home is clean and clear

And ready for the new."
