It may not seem like an odd number would have much to do with balance; however, the number seven is a perfect number for balance. Generally, we recognize that we have seven main chakras, and that for optimum spiritual balance, we aim to keep our chakras aligned and in balance with each other.

Today is a great day to work with your chakras, as it is the forty-ninth day of the year, seven multiplied by itself. Find or make a simple pendulum, and use it to check your chakras. First smudge or otherwise clear your pendulum. Then place it over each chakra, one at a time, and see if it spins clockwise (indicating balance) or counterclockwise (indicating imbalance). You may need to sit, stand, or lie down to comfortably reach over certain chakras. If you identify any imbalances, develop a self-care plan to help realign that chakra.
