Taming Technology

Color of the day:  Orange
Incense of the day:  Marigold

We don't want to bind or hex our devices, but some of us want to slow things down, so to speak, until we can get caught up with upgrades and apps and ... well, stuff. A spell to tame technology has to work in both directions: on our device and on us. Let's ask Sunday's ruler, the Sun, for help.

Set Saule or Apollo on your altar and cast your circle. Plants tend to grow slowly, so find plants that are ruled by the Sun (sunflowers, rosemary, a bromeliad) and set them on your altar. Add cashews and acorns and burn cinnamon or frankincense. Finally, set your device(s) at the feet of the deity and speak these words:

Great and mighty powers of technology,
I am learning. I want to learn!
Please wait for me to catch up.
Lend me your artificial intelligence.
Give me helpful menus and remember my passwords.
