Times change and social standards change. What was risqué twenty years ago is old hat today, as we as a society work to heal what patriarchy, misogyny, and Christianity did to sex.

Today, celebrate sex as sacred and make time to get in touch with your own sacred sexuality. Spend time alone caring for your body- moisturizing, shaving, massaging, and pampering. As you do so, let yourself come alive in your own sexuality, fantasizing and dreaming about sacred sex-not the type of sex that you have been told is correct by society and not what you see on TV or in magazines, but your own deep desires: sensual and sexual.

Put on soft clothing and dance alone in front of a mirror while invoking the goddesses of sacred sexuality: Aphrodite, Inanna, Magdalene, and Lilith. Know how lovely you are.
