Today is the new moon. There will also be a solar eclipse today at about 2:30 p.m. Eastern time, when the moon travels between the sun and the earth. In the tarot, the Sun card symbolizes day, logic, exposure, manifestation, and success. The Moon card stands for night, intuition, secrets, dreams, and cycles. An eclipse represents the moon venturing into the sun's domain. It is a time when the inner world takes over the outer.

This is the perfect time for a spell to draw insights from deep within the self's well. For this spell, you will need the Sun and Moon cards from a tarot deck and a fishhook on a thread. Sandwich the hook between the cards, with the Moon card on top, and leave them in the light of the eclipse. Then pull the hook from between the cards, visualizing that it brings messages from your intuition. Write down everything that comes to mind, and choose one idea to act on.
