National Parks and Protected Spaces

Color of the day:  Purple
Incense of the day:  Cypress

It's Friday and the weekend is almost here. We're at the height of summer and good times abound. Before you head out this weekend, take a moment to remember our national parks, which so many of us flock to this time of year.

In 1951, the arrowhead became the symbol of the National Park Service. A bison, sequoia trees, mountains, and water are incorporated into this logo.

For this spell, draw an arrowhead. Write on your arrowhead things you love about protected spaces and national parks. Light a green candle and give thanks for all the blessings we receive from spending time in nature. Light the paper from the candle and allow the paper to burn to ashes in a fireproof container. Let the candle burn down. Scatter the ashes the next time you're in an open space or national park.
