A Personal Harvest Spell

Color of the day:  Maroon
Incense of the day:  Ginger
 
This spell celebrates the personal harvests in your life and also allows you to thank the Goddess for your good fortune. On your altar, place the Empress card from the tarot. On each side of the card, place an orange candle. You should also have a few kernels of grain-corn, wheat, or barley are good choices. On a piece of paper, write the names of three people or things in your life for which you're grateful. Then light the candles. As the flames grow, sprinkle the grain over the paper and say:

"Goddess, I thank you for these things I have. And I thank you for the bounty still to come."

Let the candles burn a while, then extinguish them. Save the grain and your list. Review your list at the end of the year, and add to it if you need to. Then burn the list and feed the grain to the birds.
