Blessing the New Year

Call it setting a New Year's resolution. Call it forward planning. Call it setting a magical intention. Whatever you call it, it's important to call in a New Year's blessing for yourself, your community, and the planet.
Working alone or with your circle, go into your alpha state and consider what you want for the coming year. Think of yourself, but also think of your community (magical, political, civic, etc.) and the planet as a whole, including all the people and our animal and bird and other cousins who live here, too. What kind of energy do you want to draw into your life?
Now, using your forefinger as your magic wand (see January 20 if you don't know about this), draw small sunwise circles in the air in front of you. State your intention aloud, then pronounce this simple invocation:

"Brand-new year-energy clear.
Good new year-energy here!"
