POSTED UNDER Moon

As Simple as Nature

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Sage

Today the full moon falls on the birthday of Henry David Thoreau, who said in his book Walden:
"Let us first be as simple and well as Nature ourselves, dispel the clouds which hang over our brows, and take up a little life into our pores."
Go out where you can see the moon. Ask the moon for guidance in finding a deeper, simpler connection to nature.
Go to the east. Ask the east to show you its elements. Listen to east.
Go to the south. Ask the south to show you its elements. Listen to south.
Go to the west. Ask the west to show you its elements. Listen to west.
Go to the north. Ask the north to show you its elements. Listen to north.
Stand in the center and ask nature to guide you in her simplicity and knowledge.
Thank nature. Thank the elements. Thank the moon.
