POSTED UNDER Moon

Spell of the Crescent-Crowned Goddess

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Bay laurel

In the WildWood Tradition of Witchcraft, our Crescent-Crowned Goddess has taught us that "drawing down the moon" is a spell and not a possessory rite.
Stand outside under the full moon and have a small fire burning in a fireproof container before you. To draw down the moon, ground and center, align, and open your arms to the heavens. Let the silver-white light of her radiance pour into you. As it does, begin to visualize in full detail the outcome of your desires. They will come to pass by the next full moon. Let a buildup of saliva collect in your mouth, and at the peak of power, spit on the fire and seal the spell by saying:

"I draw down the moon, and I ask for this boon! I sing the song of the Witch, and I cast this spell into the night!"
