A Spring Garden Spell

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Yarrow
 
This ritual purifies and draws fertility to the spring garden. After the garden has been tilled, kneel before the freshly turned earth. At your side, have a watering can filled with water, and mix in a few drops of vinegar. Also, to honor the Goddess, have a few slices of apple with you.
Begin by crumbling a few handfuls of soil between your fingers and inhaling its earthy scent. Then begin to sprinkle the water/vinegar mix randomly over the soil-this acts as a purifier. To attract fertility and the blessings of the Goddess, press the apple slices into the soil. As they decompose over the growing season, they'll release their magical energy into the soil and all of your plants.
End by saying:

"As the season goes, my plants will thrive, as the season goes, this spell is alive."
