Besom Spell for Home Protection

The besom, or Witch's broom, is a powerful tool for both cleansing and protection. In magical spring cleaning, after your home is pysically clean, it is a good practice to magically sweep any bad energy out the door using your besom. In addition to removing negativity, laying a charged broom across the doorway at night can protect your home from intruders.
To charge the broom, hold it brush side up in both hands and send energy into it while saying this spell:

"Sweep out evil, hold danger at bay.
Balanced in power, my Witch's broom.
Shield us from harm sent our way,
I charge you now to protect this home."

Lay the broom across the front doorway each night before you go to bed.
