Speak this spell after you and your passengers have buckled your seat belts before a trip in your car:
Mercury and Iris, winged god and rainbow goddess,
Bless and protect this car and all of its parts,
Its hood and engine, its tires and brakes.
Keep the birds and beasts and other critters at a safe distance,
Make me a skilled and careful driver,
And grant that we may safely reach our destination.
Circle of protection, one, two, three!"
