POSTED UNDER Earth, Moon, Peace

A group Lunar Ritual for Cooperation

Color of the day:  Ivory
Incense of the day:  Hyssop

Tonight is a full moon, with the moon moving from the fire sign of Leo into the earth sign of Virgo. When the moon is in Virgo, we tend to feel a sense of responsibility. We become aware of what needs to be done and may be anxious (even a bit antsy) to get started doing it. If we're not careful, we may become frustrated with those who don't share our same work ethic. Create a communal lunar ritual to inspire these strong feelings of desire and intention while also reminding each participant to be gentle with each other. The full moon is, of course, a wonderful time to raise energies, whether by dancing, drumming, chanting, or singing. As the energies spiral up, speak aloud of the work that is waiting to be done. Then, as the energy ebbs, focus on the need to create peaceful cooperation toward the end result. Have each participant tie a silver cord around one wrist; allow these cords to remain until the next full moon, serving as reminders of the shared intention.
