Sometimes it's easy for us to get a little too merry during the holidays, either with tempting treats or with spirits. If you feel the need for a little magic to help you celebrate the season without the excess, here is a simple spell for you. You'll need a piece of amethyst; it can be a tumbled stone, but a piece of jewelry is even better. Hold the stone in your hand and repeat:

"Help me stick to moderation,
Strength when faced with temptation,
The smartest choices shall I make
To each decision, I'm wide awake."

Bring your amethyst charm with you to every celebration, and make it a reminder of your promise to yourself. Decide before you go what your limits are, and stick to them. Make sure you treat yourself, just in moderation.
