Hieroglyphic Monad

Color of the day:  Pink
Incense of the day:  Alder

This year Sir John Dee's July 13 birthday falls on Friday the 13th. John Dee was a famous occultist and astrologer to Queen Elizabeth I. There was a sigil he created and used to represent balance of the mind, body, spirit, and unity of the cosmos, the Hieroglyphic Monad. It's easy to find in any search engine and really easy to draw. Dee described the sigil as: "The Sun and the Moon of this Monad desire that the Elements in which the tenth proportion will flower, shall be separated, and this is done by the application of Fire."
It combines symbols for the Sun, the Moon, the cross, and the zodiacal sign of Aries. Draw the sigil on a small square of paper and carry it with you for good luck, happiness, and balance, and while you're at it, thank John Dee today on his birthday for coming up with it!
