The absence of the moon in the night sky symbolizes nothingness and emptiness. Because the Moon is just about to wax, personal energies will begin to increase for the next two weeks. Luna represents the internal, the emotional, and the psychic. This is the time for new beginnings.
Lie flat on your back under the moonless sky for at least twenty minutes.
Bring your focus tot he stars (if the night is clear) and contemplate the true meaning of infinity: a fact of nature that is literally impossible for us humans to fully comprehend. While looking at the stars, say the following, or something similar:

Moonless sky, endless cosmos,
I come before you as a pure child of the Universe.
Open my mind to your limilessness,
Reveal the unsee, and forever illuminate my perception.
So mote it be.

The waxing Moon will help increase these spiritual energies in you, especially if you perform this ritual nightly until the Full Moon. Note any spiritual awakenings or consciousness-alterations you experience throughout.
