Cauldron Blessing

Color of the day:  Crimson
Incense of the day:  Apricot

Historically a day dedicated to Mediterranean Earth Mother goddesses such as Thea and Cybele, it's a perfect time to bring out your brewing pots. Whether for kitchen or magical work of other varieties, pots are the containers of our conjuring in the material realm, the symbolic wombs we tend and care for in order to birth our creations. To bless these tools, take them outdoors and put them on the Earth, upside down.
Create a paste of water and soil, adding a drop of your own blood if you wish to consecrate the mixture. Then, coat the outside of the pot. Place stones, flowers, and other Earth-honoring objects on top, much like decorating a cake. Once the coating is dry, offer the following:

Crucible, container, cauldron, pot- serve me well, the Earth you're not;
But into my house now blessed we go - the power of Earth this does bestow.

Dust off the pot, cleaning it if you wish with water (or not). Bury the ornaments or place them under a tree as offerings.
