In Celtic spiritual tradition, the boar was one of the most sacred animals of the Samhain season. It was especially associated with the Sacred Hunt that took place in the weeks leading up to the Celtic New Year on November 1. The boar
represented strength, courage, and determination. Magical boars appeared in the forest to lead people into magical adventures. In Welsh legend, King Arthur and his warriors pursue the supernatural boar Twrch Trwyth. The Gaulish goddess Arduinna, who presided over the Ardennes forest, was portrayed riding a wild boar. Recite this prayer to invoke personal power and the wisdom of nature, especially that spiritual power which comes from 0therworld encounters:

I will wash my face in the nine rays of the Sun.
I will travel in the name of the gods.
In likeness of deer,
In likeness of horse,
In likeness of serpent,
In likeness of boar.
