Red coral, which is governed by the planet Mars, is one of nine precious gems useful for Jyotish remedies. Persons wishing to gain the blessings of Mars and attract its strong protective energies will find the wearing of red coral very useful. This is especially true when you wear it against the skin after invoking Lord Mars on a Tuesday. The mantra for Lord Mars should be repeated at least nine times. Practitioners familiar with Hinduism or Hindu pantheons should chant the relevant mantra 108 times for maximum effect:
