Light as many candles as you desire, in any colors you wish. Place them all around you, and extinguish all other light sources if possible. If you are fortunate to have access to a fireplace, you may use this fire as your focus, or, better still, use a bonfire outside. Whichever method you choose, the idea is to focus your attention only on the flames. Listen for the crackling of the fire, or, if using candles, play whatever music helps you connect with the fire element. Consider the origin of fire and what it means to our life. We use it for warmth, light, and for cooking. Think of the heat of the Sun, and how this is one of the vital elements of life. Fire represents passion, creativity, and growth. Meditate on these aspects.
