Strengthen the Nervous System and Offset Anxiety Spell

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Maple

Sometimes we can get stressed out or feel overwhelmed in our lives. At these times we may feel increasing anxiety and nervousness. To offset any anxiety we may feel around the Full Moon, it can be helpful to do some magical work. For this, simply go outside to a natural setting where it is quiet and you will be undisturbed. Stand tall with your knees slightly bent. Close your eyes and take several slow, deep breaths into your belly. As you do this, visualize drawing in a clear flow of energy through your nose and down into your lungs and belly. When you reach the end of your inhalation, hold your breath briefly for about two or three seconds, and visu-alize energy coursing through your body. Then gently exhale and release any negative energy and stress out through your breath. Continue to take in deep breaths of pure and clean energy, and exhale all anxiety and stress. After five minutes, you will feel rested and rejuvenated.

Holiday lore:
King Puck is a virile old goat who presides over the fair in Killorglin in Ireland. He watches the proceedings from a platform built in town, wearing a shiny gold crown and purple robes. Among the activities: gathering day, which includes a parade; fair day itself, and the buying and selling of livestock; and scattering day, when the goat is disrobed, dethroned, and sent back into the fields at sunset.
