Slow Change Spell

Color of the day:  Gold
Incense of the day:  Frankincense

Toward the end of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, water found in ditches, marshes, or other damp areas can appear stagnant. However, below the still surface, rot and decomposition are taking place, both of which are precursors to positive change. Gather some of this water in a jar and use it to disintegrate and change problematic situations in a slow, nondramatic way.

On a dried leaf or other natural item, use a marker to write a simple sentence describing the problematic situation.

In a dim room after dark, when all is quiet, dribble some of the water onto the paper. Visualize the energy of stagnant waters: decay and transformation under the guise of stillness. This transformation is powerful yet subtle.

Place the paper in the jar and cap it. Keep it someplace dark where it won’t be handled. Don't shake it up or move it, but allow the still water to permeate the situation, bringing about gentle decay and leading to slow, peaceful change.

Once the situation has resolved, dispose of the materials.
