Today, we've lost our mystic reverence for our homes; we often fail to see its powers and influences at work in our everyday lives. Fortunately, it isn't difficult to create a magical household, one patterned after ancient ritual and magical ways. With the focus on giving thanks and reconnecting with self, family, and friends, the fall season is the perfect time to create your magical household.
Thanksgiving, in late November, began when the Pilgrims planted their crops in New England later in the season than usual, so their harvest was late. Thus, the American tradition of Thanksgiving is simply a disguised and tardy harvest festival.
Hanging a bunch of ears of dried corn by their stalks on your front door before Thanksgiving ensures a prosperous, wealthy year to come.
