Power Object Ceremony

Draw a circle clockwise (either real or imaginary). Step inside the circle.

Hold the power object, if you can, or place it inside the circle with you. If the object is a spirit guide or power animal spirit, hold it in your imagination, or bring something to represent it, such as a figurine.

Stand facing South.

South represents the attributes of faith, strength, and protection that your relationship with the power object can bring to you.

Imagine the energies of faith, strength, and protection flowing into the circle, into your power object, and into yourself.

Give thanks and honor to the energies of the South.

Next, turn to your right and face West.

West represents the attributes of inner vision, self-healing, and balance that your power object may help you develop.

Imagine yourself opening to the attributes of inner vision, self-healing, and balance.

Feel the energies of these attributes flow into the circle, into your power object, and into yourself.

Give thanks and honor the energies of the West.

Next, turn to your right and stand facing North.

North represents the attributes of wisdom, practicality, and patience.

Imagine yourself connecting to the attributes of wisdom, practicality, and patience. Feel the energies of these attributes flow into the circle, into your power object, and into yourself.

Give thanks and honor the energies of the North.

Next turn to your right and stand facing East.

East represents the attributes of creativity, illumination, and perception.

Imagine yourself receiving the attributes of creativity, illumination, and perception. Feel the energies of these attributes flow into the circle, into your power object, and into yourself.

Give thanks and honor the energies of the East.

Now turn right once again and stand facing South where you began.

You have completed a full circle of energies and attributes to use in your relationship with your power object and in your relationship with your Self.

Now look upward to symbolize the shamanic connection you are making with the upper world of spiritual, psychic vision.

Imagine a pathway between yourself and the energies of Spirit. Extend that pathway to connect with your power object. Feel the energies of Spirit flowing down into the circle, into your power object, and into your Self.

Give thanks and honor the energies of the Spirit.
